Singham Re-Sizzles Zanjeer and Amar Akbar Anthony Magic

Rohit Shetty is back with his latest Action pact hungama Singham.
Singham and Rohit Shetty is in news once again. The news is that Singham will be a step further for Rohit Shetty to pay tribute to 70's cinema.



Golmaal 3 is Rohit Shetty's last flick which was inspired by Basu Chatterjee's 1978 Hindi Movie "Khatta Meetha". Mithun's character in Golmaal 3 was a tribute to 70's cinema as said by Rohit Shetty.

Singham whose lead Actor is Ajay Devgan and Lead Actress is Kajal Aggarwal has a inspired fight sequence. Rohit Shetty has not just drawn inspiration but he has enacted a entire fight sequence from 70's super duper hit Amitabh Bachhan Starrer Zanjeer and Amar Akbar Anthony. Now, it would be difficult to say whether Shetty is inspired by 70's cinema or "The Angry Young Man", Amitabh Bacchan.



Few of the highlights related to this are:

1. The famous scene from Amar Akbar Anthony in which Vinod Khanna unbuttoning his police uniform to beat up Amitabh has been re-enacted in Singham with Ajay Devgan playing Cop and Ravi Beasant playing goon. Even dialogues have been kept unchanged.

2. Film Zanjeer's superhit scene in which Pran walks into a police station and tries to sit on a chair, which Amitabh Bachchan kicks away and says, 'Jab tak baithne ko kahaa na jaaye, tab tak chup chaap raho,' has also been duplicated in Singham.

Ajay and Rohit is a dedly combo which I believe can definately re-create 70's magic.
In fact I believe that there are only two actors in Bollywood who can come little bit near to Deadly Voiced Amitabh and they are Salman and Ajay.
